After living with Crohn’s disease for over 18 years, in 2021 Breanne created The Crohn’s & Colitis Collective after her sister Brittany — who also lives with Crohn’s — nearly passed away from a disease related incident. Tired of feeling ashamed about her digestive issues and like she has to keep what she goes through to herself, Breanne created this collective to build community, bring attention to the disease, and contribute to reducing the stigma and shame around Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Through impactful conversations, community collaborations, and sales from the line of apparel Breanne has designed & created, The Crohn’s & Colitis Collective donates 90% of their proceeds to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, the only national, volunteer-based organization centred around funding research to find cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
